Broco AI is an AI-powered nutrition and fitness tracking application that provides food logging, calorie tracking, workout plans, AI-generated analysis, and personalized assistance.

Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide and improve our services.

Information You Provide

When creating an account or using the App, you may provide your name, email address, authentication credentials including Apple Sign-In or OAuth, and an optional profile photo.

You may also provide health and fitness information including age, height, weight, gender (optional), fitness goals, activity level, dietary preferences or allergies, food logs, calorie and macronutrient intake, workout logs, body measurements, and progress tracking data.

You may upload food photos, submit chat messages to the AI assistant, and create custom food entries or workout and meal plans.

Information Collected Automatically

We may automatically collect device type, operating system, app version, usage data, crash logs, performance metrics, and IP address for security and fraud prevention purposes.

Payment Information

All subscriptions and payments are processed through Apple App Store In-App Purchases. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or payment details. Apple may provide us with limited subscription-related information such as subscription status, transaction identifier, and renewal status.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide calorie and macro tracking, generate AI-based meal and workout plans, deliver AI-powered nutrition analysis, personalize recommendations, maintain your progress history, improve product performance and AI accuracy, provide customer support, detect fraud, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

AI Processing

Broco AI uses artificial intelligence to analyze food images, generate meal and workout plans, and provide chat-based assistance. Certain information such as food descriptions, nutrition logs, and contextual data may be processed by trusted third-party AI service providers. We implement reasonable safeguards to limit exposure of personal data and do not use your personal data to train public AI models.

Third-Party AI Services

To power certain features within the App, Broco AI may securely transmit limited user-provided inputs to trusted third-party artificial intelligence and nutrition data providers. These services help us deliver core functionality including food recognition, nutrition analysis, personalized recommendations, and AI-powered assistance.

Third-party providers currently used by Broco AI include:

- OpenAI, which provides AI models used to generate nutrition analysis, personalized meal plans, workout plans, and AI coach responses.

- TastyAPI and similar nutrition data providers used to identify food items, estimate nutritional values, and support food logging.

When these features are used, certain data may be transmitted to these providers for processing. This may include food images uploaded by the user, food descriptions or food log entries, nutrition-related information, meal preferences, workout preferences, and text messages submitted to the AI assistant.

This information is transmitted securely and used solely for the purpose of generating results requested by the user, such as identifying food items from images, estimating nutritional values, generating personalized nutrition insights, creating meal or workout plans, or answering user questions through the AI coach.

We minimize the amount of personal information shared and do not intentionally include unnecessary identifying data when sending requests to these services.

How Data Is Collected and Processed for AI Features

Data used for AI features is collected directly from user interaction with the App. For example:

- When a user uploads a food photo, the image and related food description may be processed to estimate nutrition information.

- When a user requests a meal or workout plan, their goals, preferences, and activity information may be analyzed to generate personalized recommendations.

- When a user interacts with the AI coach, text messages submitted by the user may be processed to generate contextual responses.

These inputs are processed only to deliver the requested functionality and improve the quality and usefulness of the services.

Third-Party Data Protection

All third-party service providers used by Broco AI are required to maintain appropriate security and privacy protections. We only work with providers that implement industry-standard data protection measures and provide privacy safeguards equal to or stronger than those applied by Broco AI.

These providers process data solely for the purpose of delivering services to Broco AI and are not authorized to sell or use your personal data for unrelated purposes.

Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS, encrypted storage at rest, secure cloud infrastructure, role-based access control, and authentication security mechanisms. Food images and related data may be stored in secure cloud storage environments. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system can guarantee absolute security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share information with trusted service providers including cloud hosting providers, database providers, AI processing providers, nutrition data providers, and email service providers who assist in operating our services. These providers are contractually obligated to safeguard your data.

We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect our rights, users, or public safety.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data while your account remains active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.

Your Rights

International Data Transfers

Account Deletion

Users can delete their account directly from within the App at any time. Once the deletion request is confirmed, identifiable personal data associated with the account will be permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.
